Beefcake looks for a takedown but Cheryshev sprawls well. An attempted straight right counter from Cheryshev misses the target. Beefcake's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cheryshev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beefcake scrambles back to his feet. Beefcake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Cheryshev to counter with a crisp jab. Cheryshev throws a nice looking combination but Beefcake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Beefcake bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Beefcake throws a head kick that misses and Cheryshev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Cheryshev's corner calls for a 1-2. Cheryshev obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Cheryshev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A solid leg kick lands there for Cheryshev.

#R1# Barnard ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Barnard scores with a jab. Beefcake throws a body kick that misses. Beefcake takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Beefcake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Barnard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Beefcake has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Beefcake slips a jab from Barnard. Barnard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beefcake. Sloppy strikes from Barnard. Those never looked like landing. Barnard slips under a jab from Beefcake. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barnard getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Beefcake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Barnard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bland throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bland leaves Beefcake with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bland scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Beefcake doesn't seem bothered though. A left lands for Bland. Bland lands a right hook to the body.
Beefcake drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Beefcake tries to work over Bland's front leg with a kick but Bland checks it. Beefcake slips a jab and a cross from Bland.
Beefcake changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Bland ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beefcake moves away. And Beefcake tries to counter it with a takedown but Bland pushes his down on his head and steps out. Bland looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Beefcake has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bland finds it's way round the side to connect with Beefcake's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Beefcake. Bland avoids a kick to the body.

Kahn told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Beefcake trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Beefcake engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Beefcake throws a leg kick but Joshua sees it coming and moves out of range. Joshua throws out a powerful jab. Beefcake lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've been told by Brophy's head coaches at Scotty's Yard that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Beefcake throws a body punch but Brophy moves out of range. #TD2# Beefcake looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brophy tries to get to full guard but Beefcake has control of the leg. Brophy is refusing to be controlled, as Beefcake sits in half guard.
