Not really close to a finish though. Carneiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smyth keeps working. Carneiro advances to full mount. #SUB# Carneiro has hold of Smyth's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Smyth manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Smyth keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#SUB# Carneiro looking for a guillotine from mount but Smyth is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smyth tries to lock up and control but Carneiro gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.#T1# Smyth is desperately trying to improve his position but Carneiro has a good base and remains in mount. Smyth looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.#SUB# Carneiro is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Smyth is forced to tap! Great finish!

#R1# Smyth lands with a straight right. Tso didn't see that one coming. Smyth sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Tso keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smyth. Smyth fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tso manages to avoid it. Nice defenses there by Tso. Smyth shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Tso throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. The fighters circling - Smyth throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Smyth tries to get set, Tso tries to push him back and clinch up but Smyth manages to avoid the attempt. Smyth throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.#CL# Tso has managed to clinch.
Smyth wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tso has him pressed against the cage. Smyth tries for a takedown. No joy.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Smyth has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Smyth is trying to break the clinch but Tso is controlling him. Smyth has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tso after a bit of a struggle. Tso lands a body shot. Tso is working Smyth over against the cage. Tso is leaning against Smyth and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Smyth looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tso has Smyth pressed against the cage, preventing Smyth from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tso lands a body punch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Tso. Tso throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Tso lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Smyth or not. Tso lands with a right to the head. Tso digs a right hand into Smyth's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Smyth's gas tank. Tso lands with a left to the head. Smyth takes a shot to the head. Tso lands with a short head shot on the inside. #ROC# Smyth is rocked! A hook to the body from Tso.
Smyth is still on wobbly legs! Can Tso finish him? Tso lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Smyth. Smyth seems to have recovered his senses. A right hand to the body from Tso.
A short left from Tso. This has been an exciting period of action! Tso lands with a right to the head. Tso scores with a shoulder strike. Tso scores with a shoulder strike. Tso dips a shoulder and cracks Smyth with a mighty uppercut! Smyth falls back against the cage and Tso unloads with a barrage of strikes! Smyth is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Tso screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

#R1# Smyth works over Sebastian's head and body with a nice combination. Smyth lands a head shot. Sebastian walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Sebastian limp body while Smyth jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
