#TD# Roach drags the fight down to the ground.
Roach pulls Lewis in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis connects with a couple of short punches.#CUT2# It looks like Abe Roach has been cut. Roach pulls Lewis in close to prevent any damage. Lewis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lewis throws a strike but Roach rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Roach won't allow Lewis to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roach wanted to stand there but Lewis had control of the position. Lewis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Roach really is a fat lump. Roach connects with a couple of short punches. Roach has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lewis is proving hard to escape from. #T1##SU# Roach decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lewis scores with a three punch combo!
#CUT2# Abe Roach's cut is getting worse. Roach has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Lewis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.#CL# Roach closes the distance and pushes Lewis back into the cage. Lewis gets underhooks to prevent Roach's takedown attempt.
#BC2# Lewis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roach's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lewis connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Roach scrambles back to his feet. Lewis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
#T2# Roach is looking to clinch. #TD2# Lewis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Roach on his heels. He'll look to pass Roach's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lewis with a flurry of punches that miss. #SUB# Roach working for a triangle but Lewis defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Roach looking for a triangle here. Lewis is fighting it but it looks tight! Roach pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lewis is tapping out - this one is all over!

#R1##TD2# Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. #SUB2# Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Roach is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Roach manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Roach's guard. Roach wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment. #SUB# Roach has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. #SUB2# Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roach looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roach looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roach! #REVR##SUB# Roach tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Roach looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #T1# Gracie is trying to control Roach's posture but Roach avoids it. Gracie tries to improve position but can't. #SUB# Roach is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gracie is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.#SUB# Roach is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
#SUB2# Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.#SUB# Roach looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gracie regains full guard. Nicely done. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
#REVB# Gracie scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Roach working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Gracie throws a strike but Roach rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Roach really is a fat lump.#SUB2# Roach avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Roach would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #T3##SUB2# Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Roach wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Roach not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
#SUB2# Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie throwing strikes but missing. Roach manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie looks winded! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roach trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
Roach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Gracie dominated that round. The cut man is working on Abe Roach's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! #R1##CL2# Dempsey moves into the clinch successfully.
Dempsey pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Roach jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dempsey walks away with a smile on his face. Roach gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Roach could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#CL# Roach gets a clinch. Roach missing with knees to the body.
Dempsey prevents the takedown attempt.
Dempsey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.#BC# Roach escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dempsey connects with the punch. Roach tries to move into range but Dempsey moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.#CUT2# It looks like Abe Roach has been cut. Dempsey lands the left hand. Dempsey scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dempsey cracks Roach with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Roach falls to his knees and Dempsey doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
