#R1# A Rod misses with a takedown and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A Rod avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Stone throws a right and a left that both miss. Stone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but A Rod moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stone throws out a loose jab but A Rod uses good head movement to avoid it. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Stone takes a shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A Rod tries to work over Stone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Stone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
#TD2# A Rod gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.#ES# Stone manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. A Rod keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. #T1##TD2# A Rod gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stone regains guard.
A Rod is standing up over Stone. Stone looks to escape but A Rod dives into side control.
#REVR# A Rod is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Stone is looking to advance position but A Rod won't allow it. Stone passes the guard and advances to mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stone controlling from the full mount. #T2# Stone prevents A Rod from getting the reversal. A Rod is squirming around, avoiding Stone's attempts to control the action. A Rod is working to get back to half guard.
A Rod tries to lock up and control but Stone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Stone. Stone wants to control but instead A Rod manages to regain half guard. Stone trying to control the action but A Rod is working from the bottom. #T3# A Rod throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
A Rod moves into full guard.
A Rod pulls Stone in close to prevent any damage. A Rod has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Stone has passed into side control.
A Rod defending against the ground and pound. The ground and pound from Stone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. A Rod is looking for a sweep.#T4# Stone controlling from side mount. A Rod is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stone connects with a decent elbow. A Rod parries the strikes from Stone easily there. Stone is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable A Rod to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone wants to control but A Rod is having none of it. Stone is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that A Rod can do to turn this around? A Rod tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.#T4# Stone tries to regain full guard. Instead though, A Rod has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Stone is trying to escape the mount.

Ihejirika seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.#CL# Ihejirika closes the distance and clinches. Stone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ihejirika lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stone throws a hook to the side of Ihejirika's head but Ihejirika sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A low kick from Stone is predictable there and Ihejirika counters with a series of strikes. Stone will be more careful next time no doubt. Ihejirika is looking to clinch. Stone is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Ihejirika slips a straight right by Stone. Ihejirika went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Stone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Stone misses with an uppercut. Ihejirika saw that one coming. Stone scores with the left hand. Ihejirika knows he should have avoided that one. Stone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Stone is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Andrade is pressed up against the cage. Stone has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Andrade down to the mat. Andrade avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Garth Andrade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Axel Stone. Andrade lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
