He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hide is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nightwish. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Tom Jones! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Raphael Hide! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hide tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones fails to pull guard.

Zaad throws a leg kick and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Zaad fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Jones is looking to counter punch. Jones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at EMPIRE K1 Academy in the buildup to the fight. Zaad gets off balance looking for a body kick and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nice body punch from Jones. Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zaad has time to react. Jones moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
