As Velasquez looks to move away, Collins throws a big counter combo but Velasquez just gets out of the way.#TD2# Velasquez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Collins quickly recovers to half guard.#SUB2# Velasquez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Still in half guard, Velasquez seems content to control. Collins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Velasquez on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez thows a huge punch but Collins dodges it nicely.

Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Collins and Gale Snoats. Collins's entrance music is I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Michael Collins! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Gale Snoats! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Snoats rushes Collins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Snoats drags the fight down to the ground.
Snoats is adopting a defensive guard. Snoats working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Collins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Snoats pulls Collins in close to his closed guard and prevents Collins from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
