Bowman now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Goat tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bowman counters with a good, hard body kick but Goat shrugs it off. Bowman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Goat wants to clinch up but Bowman keeps it at a distance. Goat fails in his attempt to clinch. Bowman lands a nice hook to Goat's body. Goat takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Goat throws a body shot but no joy. Goat tries to clinch but Bowman moves out of range. Goat wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goat chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bowman can pounce on him.
Goat sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Goat tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #T1##TD2# Bowman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Goat on his heels. He'll look to pass Goat's guard now, I'm sure. Bowman is standing up over Goat. Goat looks to escape but Bowman dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goat is looking to stand back up but Bowman counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Goat. Goat looks like he's trying to stand up.

Goat wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Slater manages to pass to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#REVB# Slater slips a nice elbow through Goat's hands, connecting with Goat's forehead. Slater prevents Goat from standing back up.
