Kormrok is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by John. Kormrok misses the jab. A shot to the body from John misses letting Kormrok counter with a right hand. Kormrok fakes high and swings low for a body shot but John manages to avoid it.#CL# Kormrok moves into the clinch successfully.

John connects with a leg kick. Kormrok looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kormrok tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kormrok throws a shot from downtown. John moves away and avoids it. Kormrok misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from John.
John cracks Kormrok with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Kormrok falls to his knees and John doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott John! Scott John decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1##KD# Kormrok catches Lewis napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Lewis to the canvas!
#CUT# It looks like Parker Lewis has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kormrok showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #SUB2# Lewis is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kormrok has his hands clasped together but Lewis extends and breaks Kormrok's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lewis.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Parker Lewis! Parker Lewis is the new heavyweight champion! A relieved looking Parker Lewis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

and Kormrok takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT# It looks like Von Kormrok has been cut. Cranial closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kormrok lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cranial backs up against the cage.
Cranial connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kormrok momentarily.
A lazy left from Kormrok finds it's target. Kormrok throws a body shot but no joy. Cranial moves forwards but Kormrok connects with a nice, crisp jab.#TD2# Kormrok changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cranial looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cranial parries the strikes from Kormrok easily there. Kormrok is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cranial to escape.

Cranial can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Kormrok remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kormrok looks up at the clock and then as Cranial takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kormrok smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cranial's coaches at Hellfire Antechamber have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Kormrok tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The strikes coming from Kormrok are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Cranial can't do much from the bottom here. Kormrok working the head with strikes. A bit of a lull in the action here.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee asks Kormrok politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kormrok prefers to stall for the moment though. Kormrok sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cranial is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Cranial switches off momentarily and Kormrok cracks him with a monster right hand! Cranial topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Kormrok dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Kormrok!

Tuck is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kormrok connects with a decent elbow. #CUT# It looks like Robin Tuck has been cut. Kormrok working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Kormrok keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cranial. Cranial misses the shot to the body. Cranial looks to throw the jab but Kormrok is out of range. Kormrok on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cranial tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kormrok was well out of range. Poor timing from Cranial. Good standup being displayed there by Kormrok as he connects with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kormrok fails with an attempt to clinch.

#R1# Honda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kormrok but Kormrok pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for Honda with that takedown attempt. A punch lands to the side of Honda 's head but he takes it in his stride.#CUT# It looks like Yoko Honda has been cut. Honda with a lazy takedown attempt and Kormrok counters with a straight right hand. Von Kormrok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoko Honda. Honda with a poor takedown and Kormrok rattles Honda with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Honda tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Kormrok dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Honda stiff and motionless on the mat!

#R1##TD# Kormrok closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rothschild has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Rothschild wants to get back to full guard but Kormrok has mounted him! Rothschild is trying to stand up. Kormrok tries to control but Rothschild wriggling away. Kormrok lands a nice shot to the head. Rothschild sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rothschild wants to get back to his feet. Kormrok missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kormrok is keen to just control but Rothschild is a slippery customer. Rothschild is looking to improve his position.
Kormrok slips a nice elbow through Rothschild's hands, connecting with Rothschild's forehead. Rothschild is positioning himself well to prevent Kormrok advancing to mount. Kormrok will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#T1# Kormrok prevents Rothschild from standing back up.

Kormrok lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kormrok fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Michalos square on the jaw! Damn, Michalos is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
