No, Cranial has escaped the position, nice work there. Diggs tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. #SUB2# Diggs tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diggs has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cranial is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Diggs off and has taken his back! Diggs looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Diggs wants to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Von Cranial. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cranial, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Bobby Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Cranial scores with a kick to the midsection. Ricky Bobby Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bobby Jr slips a straight right by Cranial. Bobby Jr swings for the body but Cranial moves out of range.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kitano! But no joy. Jab, jab by Cranial - just one landing. #CUT# It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut. Cranial swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kitano. Cranial sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Kitano's defenses. It connects perfectly with Kitano's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Von Cranial! Von Cranial is the new heavyweight champion! Von Cranial decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. Cranial moves forwards but Kormrok connects with a nice, crisp jab.#TD2# Kormrok changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cranial looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cranial parries the strikes from Kormrok easily there. Kormrok is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cranial to escape.

Cranial has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dawg throws a nice inside leg kick. Cranial throws a body punch but Dawg moves out of range. It appears Dawg was looking to counter with a kick there. Dawg misses with a looping left. A little jabbing left from Cranial on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Dawg ducks under a wild hook from Cranial. Cranial scores with a jab to the body. Cranial throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Dawg crashing down! Dawg tries to stagger back to his feet but Cranial just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Dawg asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Honda postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cranial keeping moving, preventing Honda from controlling successfully. Cranial has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
