Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Nazirite tries a knee to the head but The Grinder blocks it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Nazirite trying to land knees to the body.
Nazirite lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A short right from Nazirite on the inside. Nazirite misses with a knee strike.

The referee is keeping an eye on The Grinder - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

#R1# Thorsen throws a shot from downtown. The Grinder moves away and avoids it. The Grinder tries to counter with a clinch but Thorsen shakes him off and moves away. Thorsen sizes up The Grinder with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Thorsen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces The Grinder back to the cage. Thorsen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CUT# It looks like Bret The Grinder has been cut.#CL2# The Grinder clinches. #TD# Thorsen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. The Grinder is trying to keep an underhook but Thorsen manages to get the takedown into half guard. Thorsen trying to control from The Grinder's half guard. The Grinder has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Thorsen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Grinder on the ground. Thorsen throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Grinder tries to land a sweep but no joy. The Grinder lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That was a close round but I would say that Odin Thorsen will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Bret The Grinder's cut. That's the end of the interval. Da Silva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The Grinder lands a jab to the head.
The Grinder throws out a loose jab but Da Silva uses good head movement to avoid it. The Grinder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Da Silva manages to avoid it. The Grinder throws a jab when Da Silva was well out of range. A lazy left from The Grinder finds it's target. Da Silva misses with a wild combination.
Da Silva has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Da Silva leaves The Grinder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Da Silva is looking to counter the offense by The Grinder and move into the clinch. Da Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The Grinder appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Caerwyn. The Grinder does a little dance to reset his feet. Caerwyn scores with a hook to the body. The Grinder takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. The Grinder looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Good leg kick by Caerwyn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Caerwyn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Caerwyn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
