Waqa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. #R1# Gombrowicz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Waqa checks it well. Gombrowicz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gombrowicz there as he acknowledges the shot. Waqa lands a jab to the nose. Gombrowicz walks into a left hand. #TD2# Gombrowicz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Waqa scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Gombrowicz manages to mount him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waqa is trying to escape the mount.
Gombrowicz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.#T1# Waqa reaches up to try and control the position but Gombrowicz seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Waqa rolls and tries to escape and now Gombrowicz has his back!

Waqa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#ES# Waqa throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Good shot there by Waqa. Gombrowicz moves in looking to clinch but Waqa pushes him off. Waqa swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Baron Waqa will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! #R3# Waqa tests Gombrowicz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Waqa lands a head shot. Gombrowicz dives in for a single leg takedown but Waqa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Waqa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gombrowicz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waqa tries to avoid it but Gombrowicz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waqa to the ground. Waqa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As Gombrowicz looks to move away, Waqa throws a big counter combo but Gombrowicz just gets out of the way. Gombrowicz shoots in for a double leg but Waqa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Gombrowicz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Waqa defends it nicely.#T3# Waqa getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Gombrowicz takes one on the button.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Waqa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Gombrowicz throws a hook but Waqa blocks it. Waqa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Gombrowicz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Waqa defends it nicely. Waqa throwing a counter right hand but Gombrowicz manages to avoid it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Waqa scores with a jab. Gombrowicz acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Baron Waqa showed his dominance in that final round. I think Waqa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
