#R1##TD# Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Williams won't allow Kane to sweep him here. Kane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Kane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Williams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kane preventing the sweep. Kane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. #T1# Kane won't allow Williams to sweep him here. Kane trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Williams has wrist control. Williams striking off his back, scoring a few points. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane preventing the sweep. Williams preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kane with a flurry of punches that miss. Williams wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving. Kane scoring with punches to the head and body. Kane wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position. Williams has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kane with a flurry of punches that miss. Williams looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Kane is proving a slippery customer.
#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#TD# Williams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Williams is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kane controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kane trying to control the position.
Williams works over Kane with some ground and pound from guard.#T3# Williams distracts Kane with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kane looks winded! Williams scoring with punches to the head and body. Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Williams landing with the ground and pound. Williams working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kane's head. Williams postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kane on the ground. Williams postures up and lands a big shot to Kane's brow. Williams cracks Kane with a solid left hand. Williams lands a couple of elbows. Williams landing with the ground and pound. #ROC# Kane is rocked! Williams postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Kane's head off the mat! Kane is out! He's out! Williams jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!

#R1# Rodriguez throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rodriguez tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rodriguez ducks under a wild hook from Williams. Rodriguez throws a combination that misses and Williams makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rodriguez tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance. Rodriguez tests Williams's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rodriguez lands a really nice looking cross but Williams seems unphased.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams takes a swing at Rodriguez's ribcage but misses. Williams digs a good body shot into Rodriguez's ribs. Rodriguez connects with a single shot there. Rodriguez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. It looked like Williams wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A shot to the liver by Williams. Beautiful body shot.#T1# Rodriguez tries to clinch but Williams moves away letting Williams counter with a right hand. Rodriguez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Williams lands a nice shot that snaps Rodriguez's head back.
#CUT# It looks like Alberto Rodriguez has been cut. Williams moves away from the strike by Rodriguez. Williams is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Williams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rodriguez. Williams thows a left - swing and a miss! Rodriguez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Williams blocks a low kick nicely. Rodriguez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Williams connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rodriguez momentarily.

Rodriguez looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well. Williams feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rodriguezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rodriguez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rodriguez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Williams defends it well. Rodriguez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rodriguez misses the body punch and Rodriguez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A big left from Rodriguez misses. An inside leg kick from Rodriguez misses. Williams bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rodriguez's head. Williams showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rodriguez.
Rodriguez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Williams connects with a jab.#T3# Williams keeps the fight on the outside. Rodriguez throws a right hand that Williams ducks under and follows up with a left that Williams also avoids with ease. Rodriguez looks winded! Rodriguez throws a lazy uppercut
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#ROC# Rodriguez is rocked! Alberto Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rodriguez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rodriguez is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him? Williams is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Rodriguez flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rodriguez is out cold! Williams holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

A very excited looking Sonny Bill Williams made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

#R1# Franks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
#CL2# Franks clinches. Franks lands a shoulder strike. #BC2# Franks manages to break the clinch.
Franks will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Franks throws a body shot but no joy. Williams seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Franks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Franks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Willie Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams's jab looks to have found its range, popping Franks under the eye.#CUT# It looks like Willie Franks has been cut. Williams scores with a hook. Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Franks .
It looked like Williams was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Franks . Williams misses the shot to the body. Franks is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Williams with a body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Franks looks to throw the jab but Williams is out of range. Franks throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range. Franks throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Franks gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Franks is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him? Williams fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Franks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Franks looks winded! Williams connects with a nice cross there... Franks is looking wobbly and Williams recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Franks to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Williams jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. The defeated Willie Franks had this to say: 'Next fight will be different '.
