#R1# Kush fails with the takedown.#TD# Kush shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kush was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ground and pound from Kush seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on Gotti's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#SUB# Kush tries for a kimura but Gotti is defending well. Gotti gets back to half guard.#SUB# Kush looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gotti is trying to get back to full guard. Gotti slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T1# Kush wants to pass the guard but Gotti is keeping the position. Gotti pulls Kush in to control the position. #SUB2# Gotti is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kush throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gotti's body to avoid the submission. Gotti has instead reached around Kush's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gotti arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Don Gotti! Don Gotti tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

#R1# Kush misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kush takes a kick to the side of the head. Decent striking displayed by Lim there. Lim connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kush momentarily.
Kush changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lim tries to avoid it but Kush manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lim to the ground. Lim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lim lands a nice looking body shot.
Kush fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arjan Kush. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lim lands a right hook to the body.
Lim scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kush fails to land the takedown. Kush has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lim finds it's way round the side to connect with Kush's head. #T1# Lim connects with a right hand. Kush shakes it off. Lim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kush gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lim.#ROC2# Kush is rocked! Lim is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Lim lands a slapping body shot.
Crunch! Lim slams his shin into Kush's torso. Lim scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Lim jabs Kush right on the nose. Kush blinks but takes it well. Lim waves Kush back to his feet! Oh Kush is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! That kick from Lim tenderised Kush's leg. Kush is trying to keep his angry face on. Kush seems to have got his legs back now. Kush takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lim jabs Kush to the body, keeping him at a distance. Lim closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kush! Lim dives in looking to finish! Kush is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xi Lim! A less than humble Xi Lim misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. Arjan Kush was interviewed post fight and said 'I lost that fight, but you know what, Fuck it, I'm just happy to be back fighting for all you folks.'.

#R1# Sennin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kush has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kush fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sennin cracks Kush with an open hand slap. Sennin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sennin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sennin's corner calls for a 1-2. Sennin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kush shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sennin as he jumps to the side. Sennin scores with a kick to the body.
#TD# Kush shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sennin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Sennin is trying to keep Kush in close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sennin can do anything to dispel that myth. Kush throws a big elbow that misses. Kush might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sennin trying to control the position here. #R1# Kush takes a shot right to the bread basket. Carter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kushs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Michael Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Kush tries to keep at a distance but Carter has taken the fight into the clinch. Carter scores with a shoulder strike. Kush tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kush being controlled here, momentarily. Carter continues to stall. Carter wants to control from the top but Kush keeps moving. #T1# Carter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Carter is working the ground and pound from guard. #R1# MacDonald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kush drops down looking for a counter takedown but MacDonald sprawls and moves away. MacDonald shoots in but no luck this time. MacDonald misses with a takedown attempt #TD# and Kush counters with a takedown into side control. Arjan Kush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will MacDonald. Kush misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kush moves into full mount! MacDonald avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kush.
