James goes for a double leg but Sadewo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sadewo continues to drive forward. Sadewo is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Sadewo, which made it look bad. Tinto Sadewo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey James.#TD2# James drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sadewo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sadewo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground. Sadewo is trying to escape and get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# James thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. #T1##SUB2# James working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# James is trying to get an arm triangle but Sadewo is defending well. #SUB2# James is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sadewo looks calm but he's in trouble here. James gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sadewo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! James lets go of the hold and Sadewo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Joey James!
