Huia has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Oak is landing a low percentage of strikes. Huia lands with an overhand left. Huia misses with an uppercut. Oak saw that one coming. Huia ducks under a wild hook from Oak. Oak seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.#TD2# Huia gets a double leg takedown into Oak's guard. Huia advances position into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Oak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#SUB2# Huia looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Oak tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Huia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. #T1# Huia moves into full mount! #SUB2# Huia is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Oak has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Oak! Oak controls from within his opponent's guard. #SUB2# Huia is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Oak rolls with it to try and escape but Huia cranks on the arm and Oak is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

#R1# Oak keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Saarelainen. Oak swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ahti Saarelainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saarelainen scores with a jab to the head.
Oak moves out of range of the strikes. Saarelainen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Oak pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Saarelainen back to the cage. Oak follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Saarelainen slips a jab from Oak.#TD2# Saarelainen gets a double leg takedown into Oak's guard. Saarelainen trying to control but Oak is working from the bottom. Oak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Saarelainen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Oak keeping moving, preventing Saarelainen from controlling successfully. Saarelainen scoring with some ground and pound. #T1# Saarelainen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Saarelainen wants to control but Oak is keeping him busy. Saarelainen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Saarelainen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Oak trying to hold on to Saarelainen's head to control him but Saarelainen postures up.

Saarelainen has knee on belly and moves into mount. #SUB2# Oak is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Saarelainen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Oak is forced to tap!
