Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Megaton Dias and Kevin Buttler. Kevin Buttler acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Megaton Dias! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Kevin Buttler! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Buttler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dias is trying to defend but Buttler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Dias (0) vs (2) Buttler Buttler tries to pass to full mount but Dias defends it. Dias could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Buttler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dias does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Andre Gayle! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Kevin Buttler! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gayle is defended easily by Buttler. Buttler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gayle as he avoids it easily. Gayle tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Buttler manages to circle out of the way. Gayle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Gayle (2) vs (0) Buttler Gayle is breathing heavily. Gayle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Buttler is tightening it up a little... Gayle has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gayle reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gayle taps out! Nice BJJ there by Buttler!

Greer wants to get back to full guard. Buttler missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Buttler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Greer is looking for a sweep. Buttler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Greer gets full guard. Buttler working some strikes from top position.#SUB2# Buttler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Greer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buttler works a leg free and moves into half guard. #T3# The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buttler connects with a nice short shot to Greer's temple. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buttler lands a nice short elbow. Buttler trying to advance position but Greer counters by regaining guard. Buttler sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Greer's guard. Greer holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Greer is staying active underneath Buttler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Greer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buttler on the ground. Buttler prevents Greer from improving his position. Greer is breathing heavily. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

A big mistake from Buttler there, giving up the dominant position! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Greer is standing up over Buttler. Back to the action. #R2# Buttler throws a sloppy head kick and Greer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Andres Greer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
