#R1##TD2# Kaufmann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB2# Kaufmann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kaufmann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kaufmann stays in close to La Grande's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaufmann with a nice head shot there. Kaufmann pushes down on La Grande's leg and manages to get into half guard.#T1# Kaufmann is trying to control. La Grande wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. #R1##CL2# Necas instigates a clinch. #TD2# Necas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kaufmann uses from the top position. Necas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kaufmann controls the pace. Kaufmann could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kaufmann stopping the sweep attempt from Necas. Necas keeping full guard, as Kaufmann tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Necas has his hands on Kaufmann's head, controlling the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Necas wants to sweep but no luck. #T1# Kaufmann has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Necas is proving hard to escape from. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Necas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aaron Kaufmann. Well Necas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
