Melrose cracks the inside of John's front leg. John lands with a kick to the ribs.
Melrose tries to clinch but John moves out of range. #CL2# Melrose gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Melrose tries to break free but John pushes him back against the cage. A shot in the inside from John. Melrose tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and John avoids it. Melrose is looking to control John's arms but John gets an underhook and turns him. Now Melrose has his back to the cage. A nice left hand lands by John.

Still in the clinch, John scores with a nice short uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Melrose is trying to stall.

Melrose covers up and John unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
