The Beast throws a leg kick and Cage cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CUT# It looks like Brock The Beast has been cut. Cage connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt The Beast covering up! Cage comes in with a big uppercut and The Beast goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Cage! Johnny Cage seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Bryant Jr tries a quick counter leg kick but The Beast is wise to it. Bryant Jr thows a body kick. The Beast tries to catch it but that hurt him. A thudding body kick lands there by Bryant Jr!
The Beast misses with a takedown and Bryant Jr counters with an inside leg kick. The Beast on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Bryant Jr throws a nice outside leg kick. Bryant Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The Beast looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bryant Jr stuns The Beast with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The Beast is breathing heavily. Bryant Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on The Beast. That did some damage! Bryant Jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bryant Jr wants it to stay on the feet. Havasu sitting in guard here, content to control. Havasu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Havasu wants to control from the top but The Beast keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Beast working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Havasu. The Beast wants to sweep but no luck. Havasu wants to control from the top but The Beast keeps moving. The Beast trying to control the action but St Pierre is working from the bottom. #SUB# St Pierre looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The Beast throwing shots but St Pierre is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre wants to get back to full guard. St Pierre slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T1# The Beast wants to stand but St Pierre is controlling his posture from full guard.
