Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spencer postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Spencer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spencer on the ground. Spencer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sirius. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Spencer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joestar but Joestar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Joestar darts in and clinches Spencer up against the cage. Spencer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Joestar pulls his leg out and moves away.
Spencer shoots in and drives through. Joestar sprawls well. Joestar tries to counter with a clinch but Spencer shakes him off and moves away. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Spencer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bill misses with a takedown attempt. Spencer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bill defends well and Spencer ends up having to push Bill into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dempsey scores with a sloppy right hand. Spencer should have avoided that one. #TD# Spencer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dempsey napping and manages to drive through into side control! Spencer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dempsey sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Dempsey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Spencer with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Spencer working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spencer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Spencer working Dempsey over with strikes. Spencer slips a nice elbow through Dempsey's hands, connecting with Dempsey's forehead. Spencer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#SU# Spencer decides to stand up. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Spencer didn't expect that. #SUB2# Conlon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Spencer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Conlon has Spencer in his guard.#REVR# Spencer looking to pass the guard. Spencer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Conlon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. #SUB2# Conlon is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Spencer rolls with it to try and escape but Conlon cranks on the arm and Spencer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

#R1# Spencer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nice body punch from Silva. Spencer's coach down at WildBoar's Pig Pen (Strength and Conditioning) $40 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spencer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Spencer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Spencer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Spencer 's knee. Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Spencer tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#CUT# It looks like Max Spencer has been cut. We've been hearing reports that Silva has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Richard Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Spencer. Spencer with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Max Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spencer looks winded! Spencer misses with a takedown attempt and Silva counters with a nice uppercut. Silva lands a high kick!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Shmaryahu Bensoussan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Max Spencer! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Spencer is looking to clinch but Bensoussan is avoiding it.
Bensoussan gets a clinch. Spencer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bensoussan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Spencer can't keep his opponent in guard - Bensoussan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Spencer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bensoussan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bensoussan stalling. Spencer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bensoussan pulls his head out easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bensoussan passes to full mount! That's one minute gone in the round. Spencer has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Spencer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schrohtums is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Schrohtums's corner. There ya go! There ya go! #CUT# It looks like Max Spencer has been cut. Spencer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schrohtums. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Schrohtums lands a couple of decent looking shots.#ROC# Spencer is rocked! Schrohtums gets to his feet and stands over Spencer, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Spencer felt that one! Schrohtums unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Spencer from any more punishment!

Spencer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Spencer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Spencer shoots in looking for a takedown. Halme tries to sprawl out of it but Spencer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halme manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #CL# Spencer clinches with his opponent.
Halme gets through Spencer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Halme scores with a shoulder strike. Halme lands a hook that snaps the head of Spencer backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spencer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Halme lands a left hand that snaps the head of Spencer backwards. Halme presses Spencer against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
