After the big win, Simon Williamson made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Steel Penn's Laundry 93% and telling the interviewer how much he loves him. In defeat, Xi Ling stepped up to the mic, saying 'Well done, but I'll be back on my feet for the rematch real soon!'.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ling content to stall in guard here. #T1# Reynolds striking off his back but it's not causing Ling any problems. #SUB2# Ling thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ling is stalling in the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reynolds trying to control the position.

#R1# Ling shoots in for a takedown but Matthews shows good takedown defense. Matthews drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ling defends it well. Ling throws an off balance right hand
#TD2# and Matthews counters with a single leg into guard. Ling didn't expect that. Ling keeping moving, preventing Matthews from controlling successfully. Matthews must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Matthews has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ling to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Matthews is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ling pulls down on the head and he's put Matthews to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Xi Ling! A relieved looking Xi Ling thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Ling pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Forman tumbling to the mat - Ling dives into Forman's guard. Forman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ling on the ground.#SU2# Ling gets to his feet - Forman follows without any prompting. Forman throws a shot to the body.

Forman manages to land in guard. #SU2# Ling stands and steps away. Forman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Forman takes a swing at Ling's ribcage but misses. Forman throws a nice looking combination but Ling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Forman misses with the combination.
Forman connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Forman cracks Ling with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.#CL# Forman rushes Ling and presses him up against the cage.#T2# Forman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

#TD2# Ling scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.#ES# Forman bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Forman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ling looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Ling looks winded! Ling misses with a double jab.
Forman takes a swing at Ling's ribcage but misses. Forman works Ling's body with a nice hook. Forman lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ling falls backwards - clearly groggy! Forman dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

A very excited looking Red Forman made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
