Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Brij Khali and Xavior Graves. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Brij Khali! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Xavior Graves! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Graves clinches up against the cage. Khali is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Graves pulls him back up using the underhooks. Khali lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Khali (2) vs (0) Graves Khali will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Graves wants to get back to full guard. Graves desperately trying to maintain half guard. Graves is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khali controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Khali controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves tries to get to full guard but Khali has control of the leg. Khali performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Khali seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Graves for as long as he can get away with.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Graves wants to control but Khali is keeping busy.
Graves tries to get to full guard but Khali has control of the leg. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Khali trying to control the pace.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Khali has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Khali's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Khali is stinking the place up with his stalling.

That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Graves is looking for a sweep. Khali is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Khali is figuring out what he wants to do next. Khali prevents Graves from improving his position. Khali slows the pace down in half guard.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Graves is trying to control but can't.
Khali perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Graves wants to get back to full guard.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Graves wants to control but Khali is keeping busy.
Graves is trying to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Khali takes the fight on points by 2 to 0. An intense looking Brij Khali took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Glad I Won'. |
