#R1# Munoz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Uray. Mark Munoz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Munoz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The strikes coming from Munoz are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Munoz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Munoz working the head with strikes. #CUT# It looks like Andres Uray has been cut. Uray is pushing Munoz's head away, looking to escape. Munoz manages to hold on to the position though. Uray takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Munoz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Uray's legs. Uray is not in a great position here, taking some shots. #CUT# That has opened up Andres Uray's cut even more. Uray taking punishment in the form of punches.
#ROC# Uray is rocked! Munoz scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Uray is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Munoz can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Munoz!
