#R1##TD# Permitis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Washington to the mat! Washington manages to get full guard. Permitis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Permitis trying to control but Washington is working from the bottom. Permitis content to stall in guard here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Washington is on top in guard.
#REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Permitis is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Washington rolls with it to try and escape but Permitis cranks on the arm and Washington is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

#R1# French shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Washington sprawls well. Washington wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. French gets slowly back to his feet. French shoots and misses and Washington counters with a big head kick but French shrugs it off. #TD# Washington gets caught flat footed, as French shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. French throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. French with a flurry of punches that miss. French postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Washington working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from French. Washington is trying to keep French in close.
#SU# French stands up from guard. Let's bang! #T1# Washington shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and French counters with a two punch combo. French shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Washington pinned against the cage. Washington gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Washington throws a counter combo. Washington takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Campbell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Campbell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Washington's head backwards. Washington tries a head kick but it misses.
Washington takes one to the chin there. A jab from Campbell finds it's way through Washington's defenses. Washington looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. This has been an exciting period of action!#CL# Washington forces Campbell back against the cage and clinches. Washington scores with a knee to the head.
#CUT# It looks like Rashaun Campbell has been cut. Washington tries to pull guard but Campbell holds him up against the cage and eventually Washington drops back down to his feet.
Campbell struggles to land a body shot inside as Washington controls his hands.
Campbell has had enough of the clinch but Washington keeps him there for the moment.#T1# Washington prevents Campbell from breaking the clinch. Campbell is trying to force a seperation but Washington has the dominant position. Campbell avoids a wild elbow strike from Washington. Campbell lands a jab. Campbell with a nice cross. Campbell stuns Washington with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Campbell cracks Washington with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Campbell is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Washington had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Campbell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Washington's head. Campbell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Washington fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Campbell avoids it really well and circles away.#T2# A shot to the liver by Campbell. Beautiful body shot.
