Aldo cracks Jacobs with a solid left hand. Aldo slips nicely into half guard. Jacobs is looking for a sweep. Aldo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Aldo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Aldo passes to full mount! #SUB2# Aldo working for a submission but Jacobs is keeping him at bay. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo blocks Jacobs's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Jacobs is trying desperately to improve position.#T1# Aldo is landing with some decent strikes but Jacobs is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jacobs tries to hold on but Aldo postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs is trying to escape the mount.
Aldo putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Aldo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jacobs looks a forlorn figure.
