#R1# Higgins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Afflato sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Higgins somewhat.#TD2# Afflato gets a takedown into half guard. Afflato wants to stand up but Higgins is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Higgins tries to roll over but Afflato keeps him under control. Afflato is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
#T1# Afflato looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Higgins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Afflato is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Afflato controlling the pace for now. Higgins can't escape the position.
Higgins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Afflato on the ground. Afflato with a couple of short strikes. Afflato landing strikes from the mount and Higgins is in trouble! #ROC2# Higgins is rocked! Afflato controlling the pace for now. Oh Higgins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Afflato unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Higgins wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Afflato celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
