Honda shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoko Honda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Honda darts in looking for a takedown but Lesnar gets double underhooks and turns Honda into the ropes. Nice sprawl there from Honda as Lesnar shoots in.#TD# Honda gets the takedown into side control. Lesnar told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Honda moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Lesnar struggling a bit here. #R1# Lesnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Aoki wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Lesnar misses with a takedown and Aoki counters with an outside leg kick.
Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #KD# and Aoki counters with a head kick that drops Lesnar to the mat! Lesnar scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Michinori Aoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar. An inside leg kick lands from Aoki. Aoki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've been told by Aoki's head coaches at Hellfire Antechamber that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.#TD2# Lesnar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wooooo! Aoki swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Aoki.

Lesnar sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Carmen is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Lesnar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Roberts down to the mat. Roberts avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lesnar is looking to clinch but Roberts is avoiding it.
