#R1# Brooks tries to land a front kick but Tetsuo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A big right from Tetsuo misses. Tetsuo throws a body shot but no joy. Tetsuo throws a body shot but no joy. Some wild striking there from Brooks.

Tetsuo scores with a hook to the body. Brooks takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Brooks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brooks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tetsuo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Brooks is looking to take a break and control but Tetsuo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T1# Brooks is staying tight to Tetsuo's torso, preventing him from escaping. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brooks postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tetsuo is letting Brooks control him for a moment. Tetsuo is pushing Brooks's head away, looking to escape. Brooks manages to hold on to the position though. Brooks slows the pace down. Brooks prevents Tetsuo from escaping the position.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tetsuo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nice shot by Brooks. Tetsuo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Some wild striking there from Brooks.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brooks is defended easily by Tetsuo. Tetsuo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Brooks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tetsuo circles away quickly and effectively. Tetsuo throws a body punch but Brooks moves out of range. #T3##KD2# Tetsuo drops Brooks with a left right combo! Tetsuo follows him down to the ground into side control.
#ROC2# Brooks is rocked!#SU2# Tetsuo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brooks to his feet. Oh Brooks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Brooks misses with a right hand and Tetsuo counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Brooks off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Tetsuo follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Brooks was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jurgen Tetsuo! After winning the bout, Jurgen Tetsuo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Chonan lands a jab to the nose. Chonan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chonan lands a nice shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nice uppercut lands for Brooks. That snapped Chonan's head back.
Brooks looks for a takedown but Chonan sprawls well.#CL2# Chonan pushes Brooks up against the cage in a clinch. The referee calls for Chonan to work.
Brooks is pushing Chonan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Brooks managing to block the knees to the body from Chonan.
#TD# Brooks works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. #T1# Chonan is looking to stand up but Brooks isn't so interested in that idea. Brooks is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Brooks prevents Chonan from getting back to his feet. Brooks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Chonan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brooks has just dragged him back down to the mat. Brooks tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Chonan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brooks is controlling him well. Brooks controls the position from side control. Brooks went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Piranha Chonan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brooks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chonan.
Chonan looks to clinch #TD# and Brooks counters with a single leg into guard. Chonan didn't expect that. Chonan keeping moving, preventing Brooks from controlling successfully. Brooks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Brooks's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Chonan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Brooks throws a big elbow that misses. Brooks is stalling in the full guard. #T4# Brooks won't allow Chonan to get back to his feet. Chonan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brooks takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.#CL# Brooks moves into the clinch successfully.

and Ho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brooks fails to land the takedown. Brooks throws a wild hook but Ho just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Brooks gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Ho raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nam Ho ! After the fight, Nam Ho was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Davidyan has found himself in a tricky position here. "I don't think so" says Grimes as he avoids it easily. A little feinted left hand from Grimes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Grimes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Good standup being displayed there by Pichushkin as he connects with a hook. Pichushkin works the jab nicely. Pichushkin tests Brooks's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pichushkin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brooks has time to react. Pichushkin throws a shot from downtown. Brooks moves away and avoids it. The fighters circling - Pichushkin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Pichushkin tries to get set, Brooks tries to push him back and clinch up but Pichushkin manages to avoid the attempt. Brooks uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pichushkin. Brooks moves out of range as Pichushkin strikes. Pichushkin misses with the combination.

#R1# Levin misses with a straight left. Brooks tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Levin defends well and Brooks ends up having to push Levin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Levin misses with a lunging right hand

Levin seems comfortable defending it but Brooks has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Levin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Levin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Brooks couldn't care less - he's delighted!
