#R1# Machnacius doesn't succeed with the takedown#CL2# and Takeshi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A short right from Takeshi on the inside. Takeshi gets underhooks to prevent Machnacius's takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Takeshi scores with a nice short uppercut. Takeshi working some nice short punches in the clinch.#BC2# Takeshi breaks the clinch.
A jab from Takeshi finds it's way through Machnacius's defenses. Machnacius shoots and misses and Takeshi counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dariusas Machnacius. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takeshi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Machnacius closes the distance looking to clinch and Takeshi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Machnacius gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Takeshi counters with a straight right hand.#T1# Machnacius is looking to clinch. Machnacius fails with the takedown and Takeshi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CL# Machnacius gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. A short uppercut from Takeshi. Takeshi scores with an uppercut up the middle.#BC# Machnacius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Machnacius takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Takeshi takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Takeshi connects with a right hand. Machnacius shakes it off. Nice jab there from Takeshi. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice shot lands for Takeshi. Machnacius takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Takeshi works Machnacius's body with a nice hook.#T2# Takeshi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Takeshi is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Machnacius had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Takeshi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.#ROC2# Machnacius is rocked! Dariusas Machnacius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Machnacius has his takedown stuffed and Takeshi rattles Machnacius with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Machnacius tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Takeshi dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Machnacius stiff and motionless on the mat!

#R1##TD2# Takayanagi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Takayanagi passes Machnacius's left leg - he's now in half guard. Machnacius has a hand on Takayanagi's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Takayanagi takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Takayanagi throwing strikes here but Machnacius is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Takayanagi lands a couple of good shots and Machnacius has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Takayanagi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Machnacius is in bad spot here.
#SUB2# Takayanagi has his arm under Machnacius's chin here. Game over son! Takayanagi squeezes tightly and Machnacius is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Meguru Takayanagi! After the fight, Meguru Takayanagi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1##TD# Machnacius drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#SUB2# Takayanagi is looking to cinch up a triangle. Machnacius throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Takayanagi's body to avoid the submission. Takayanagi has instead reached around Machnacius's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Takayanagi arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Meguru Takayanagi! A very excited looking Meguru Takayanagi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

#R1##TD2# Trujillo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Machnacius! Machnacius looks to move to half guard but instead Trujillo has passed into mount! Damn! Trujillo manages to capitalize on a mistake by Machnacius to take his back! Machnacius trying to control the position but Trujillo manages to sink in the hooks. Trujillo biding his time, looking for the opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machnacius trying to control but not successfully. Trujillo slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
#T1# Machnacius trying to control the hands but Trujillo breaks the grip. Machnacius rolls, trying to escape but Trujillo keeps control of the position.
Trujillo is riding his opponent, not letting Machnacius buck him off. Let's hope that Trujillo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Machnacius is trying to stand back up. Trujillo trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Machnacius doesn't escape. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Trujillo lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Can Machnacius hold on?! Trujillo is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
#SUB2# Trujillo is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Machnacius has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Trujillo has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Machnacius taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Trujillo doesn't care though - he's delighted!
