Reigns dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Reigns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oneil swivels and escapes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reigns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oneil moves out of range and avoids them all easily.#CL# Reigns tries to keep at a distance but Oneil has taken the fight into the clinch. Oneil is struggling to control the position.#T1##BC2# Reigns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL2# Reigns rushes Oneil and presses him up against the cage.#TD2# Reigns is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Oneil can't fight it off and eventually Reigns manages to take the fight to the floor. Oneil looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. #R1# Day scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Day shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Oneil eats them both and turns towards Day to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Day digs a good hook to Oneil's body.
Day throws a nice looking combination but Oneil bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Oneil fails to land the takedown. Day lands a lovely overhand right. Day's coach down at Cozad MMA Sydney was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Day's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Day misses with a two punch combination.
Oneil seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Day throws a right and a left that both miss. Day misses with a hook
and Oneil counters with a one-two to the body. #T1# Day throws a looping overhand right but Oneil ducks down to avoid it. It looked like Oneil was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Oneil is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jako Day is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Day lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oneil circles away quickly and effectively. Oneil takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Oneil on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Oneil stumbles back but Day runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Oneil to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Oneil will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. You can see the frustration on Oneil's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#SUB2# Greene is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Oneil is trying to escape and Greene transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Oneil is forced to tap! Nice work there by Greene! Very nice indeed!

#R1# Gordo fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.#TD2# Gordo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oneil napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gordo wants to stand but Oneil has his arm trapped. Oneil is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gordo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Oneil is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Oneil is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Oneil is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gordo asserts his dominance and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gordo working the head with strikes. Oneil knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gordo on the ground.#T1# Gordo advances to mount. Gordo controlling the pace for now. #R1##CL2# Smith instigates a clinch. Oneil is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Oneil fails to pull the fight into his guard.
