#R1# Lally lands a jab to the nose. Cobb misses with a body shot.
Cobb wants to clinch but Lally slips to the side and Lally counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cobb thinking. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lally is defended easily by Cobb. The fight stays on the outside here - Cobb looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lally throws a counter combo.#CL2# Cobb gets tackled into the cage by Lally. Lally maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lally is pressed up against the cage. Cobb has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lally down to the mat. Lally avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lally tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cobb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lally somewhat.#T1# Lally misses with a wild combination.

A head kick misses from Lally. Lally swats away the attempt to clinch by Cobb. Cobb looks to land a combination but Lally avoids it well. Cobb tries a head kick but it misses.
Cobb leaves Lally with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cobb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lally is looking for a sweep. Cobb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#ES2# Lally makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cobb doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lally counters with a left and a right that stings Cobb. Cobb just misses with a punch to the body.

Lally dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Cobb has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lally avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cobb tries to land knees in the clinch but Lally avoids the damage to the body. Lally is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Cobb is defending well. Lally is trying to push Cobb away but Cobb has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC2# Lally's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#T4# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lally. Cobb is looking to clinch but Lally is avoiding it.
Fred Lally seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lally throws a sloppy head kick #TD# and Cobb counters with a shoot takedown. Lally fights it but they end up in guard. #ES2# Lally pushes Cobb off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cobb stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cobb wants it to stay on the feet. As Lally tries to get set, Cobb tries to push him back and clinch up but Lally manages to avoid the attempt. Cobb pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lally will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cobb throws a big counter combination but Lally scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lally looks winded!#CL2# Cobb tries to keep at a distance but Lally has taken the fight into the clinch. Cobb really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Cobb misses with some punches.

Fred Lally dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R2##TD# Cobb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lally is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cobb dives into side control.
#REVB# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cobb is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Lally is not content to let Cobb control the position. Cobb in side control, throwing shots but Lally defends. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lally tries to buck Cobb off but Cobb is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Cobb tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. #T1# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cobb wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lally keeps working. Lally managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Cobb.
Lally is trying to improve his position. Cobb wants to control but Lally is keeping him busy. Cobb in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Lally is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cobb is controlling him well. An elbow from Cobb crashes against the mat.
Jeremy Cobb overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lally is trying to get back to his feet. Cobb is looking to take a break and control but Lally is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Lally throws a sloppy head kick and Cobb moves out of range easily. Cobb feinted with a counter takedown. Lally shoots for a takedown but Cobb saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lally looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cobb is fending him off so far but Lally persists. Nope, Cobb circles away and we're back to standing. As Lally tries to get set, Cobb tries to push him back and clinch up but Lally manages to avoid the attempt. Lally throws a head kick but Cobb moves out of range.

Cobb defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lally. Cobb doesn't manage to clinch there - Lally circles away.

Lally shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cobb as he jumps to the side. Horrible takedown attempt by Cobb or perhaps it was just good defense by Lally, which made it look bad. Lally tries to pull guard but Cobb won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Fred Lally. Well Lally has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
