#R1##TD# Marquez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. JaHaa is controlling Marquez's trapped leg to prevent Marquez from advancing to side control. JaHaa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marquez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marquez's back! The referee is taking a good look at Marquez as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from JaHaa!
Marquez covers up after that shot from JaHaa.
Marquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for JaHaa on the ground. JaHaa lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
JaHaa is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. JaHaa gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. JaHaa gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. JaHaa apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. JaHaa is trying to maintain the position but Marquez is very close to passing his half guard. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! #R1# Gonzo avoids the head kick by Marquez.
Gonzo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marquez circles away quickly and effectively. Gonzo stuffs the takedown. Marquez with a lazy takedown attempt and Gonzo counters with a left and a right that stings Marquez. Marquez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gonzo counters with a three punch combo that has Marquez backing up. Marquez nods at Gonzo to acknowledge the strikes. Marquez misses with a combination
and Gonzo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Gonzo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
#CUT# It looks like Gabriel Marquez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Marquez crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gonzo - the referee stops the clock and Marquez gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gonzo. Marquez manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Gonzo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Privates in the buildup to the fight. Gonzo scores with a jab to the body. Gonzo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gonzo duly obliges. Marquez misses with a left hand and Gonzo counters with a straight right hand. Great Gonzo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T1# Marquez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Great Gonzo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Marquez. Marquez looks winded! Gonzo is pushing Marquez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Marquez letting Gonzo take a breather here. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Great Gonzo. Marquez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A slapping body kick lands there for Gonzo. Gonzo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.#T4# Gonzo moves into range and connects with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice inside leg kick there by Gonzo. #R1##TD# Pruitt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pruitt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#ES2# Marquez throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Marquez darts in looking for a takedown but Pruitt gets double underhooks and turns Marquez into the cage. Pruitt seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Pruitt dives in and grabs Marquez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marquez pushes down on Pruitt's head and hops out. Marquez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pruitt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pruitt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marquez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pruitt avoids it really well and circles away. Lon Pruitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now.
