Yu needs to keep his hands up - Edgar had a free shot at his head there. Yu misses with a body shot.
Yu shoots in for a takedown but Edgar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Edgar throws out a counter right but Yu avoids it with no problem. Edgar lands with an overhand left. Edgar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yu gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Yu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A jab lands there for Edgar. Edgar scores with a jab to the jaw.#T1# Edgar stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Let's see if Edgar can do anything to dispel that myth. Edgar controlling the position. Oh Yu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Edgar closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Yu! Edgar dives in looking to finish! Yu is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Govandekal leaves Yu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.#TD2# Govandekal shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Govandekal is looking to advance position but Yu won't allow it. Govandekal is taking a breather. Yu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Yu wants to get back to his feet. Govandekal looks to land a strike but Yu avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Govandekal won't allow Yu to sweep him here. Govandekal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gallagher tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Yu avoids it.#TD# Gallagher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Yu trying to control the position from guard on top but Gallagher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yu won't allow Gallagher to sweep him here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gallagher holds on and takes a little breather. #T1# Gallagher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
