#CUT2# It looks like Chester Simmonds has been cut. Moizoos throws a low kick but it's checked well by Simmonds. Moizoos throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Simmonds throws a head kick that misses. Moizoos is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Some bone on bone action there as Simmonds checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Simmonds tries a head kick but it misses.

With the fighters up against the cage, Simmonds throws an elbow but misses. Moizoos scores with a nice hook to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. #R1# Simmonds goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#CUT2# It looks like Jake Marsh has been cut. Marsh really is a fat lump. Simmonds lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Simmonds throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Simmonds.
Simmonds goes for a high kick. It partially lands. A head kick from Simmonds lands but Marsh takes it in his stride. Simmonds throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marsh's head. Marsh takes a kick to the side of the head. Marsh shoots in looking for a takedown but Simmonds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marsh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. This has been an exciting period of action! A head kick misses from Simmonds. Simmonds stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simmonds wants it to stay on the feet. Simmonds throws a nice head kick!

Simmonds throws a sloppy head kick and Marsh moves out of range easily. Marsh throws a big counter combination but Simmonds scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Marsh fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Marsh. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Simmonds. Simmonds looks winded! Simmonds tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As Simmonds looks to move away, Marsh throws a big counter combo but Simmonds just gets out of the way.#TD# Marsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Simmonds wants to get back to his feet but Marsh passes into half guard.
#T2##REVB# Marsh lands with a punch from half guard. Marsh lands strikes from half guard. Marsh winds up and cracks Simmonds with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Marsh looks to score some points with some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marsh is nestled in close to Simmonds, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simmonds can do anything to dispel that myth. Simmonds taking some punishment here, with Marsh in his half guard. Simmonds is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marsh scores with a couple of nice shots. Marsh scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Nice strikes from Marsh there. #T3# Marsh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Simmonds with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Simmonds has hold of Marsh's hands but Marsh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Marsh working over Simmonds with some ground and pound. Simmonds looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Marsh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #SU# Marsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Marsh closes the distance and clinches up with Simmonds, looking for a takedown. Marsh pushes Simmonds against the cage but Simmonds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Simmonds as he avoids it easily. A head kick by Simmonds misses and Marsh counters with a two punch combo. #TD# Marsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Marsh is standing up over Simmonds. Simmonds looks to escape but Marsh dives into side control.
#T4##REVB# Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Simmonds is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Marsh is controlling him well. Marsh in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Marsh grinds an elbow into Simmonds's temple. Marsh creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Marsh scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Simmonds to see if he's OK.#ROC# Simmonds is rocked! Marsh controlling from side mount. Simmonds is still in real trouble! Can Marsh finish him? Simmonds taking a bit of punishment here - Marsh scoring with strikes. Simmonds takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Marsh in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Simmonds looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Marsh turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
