Rock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sharpe throws out the jab. Sharpe just misses with a punch to the body.
Rock is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Sharpe. Rock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sharpe punishes Rock's body with a nice straight punch. Marcus Sharpe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Sharpe swings for the body but Rock moves out of range.
Rock fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rock takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Sharpe throws a body punch but Rock moves out of range. Rock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sharpe. A solid leg kick lands there for Rock.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rock throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Sharpe swinging wildly here.

Sharpe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #CUT# It looks like Marcus Sharpe has been cut. Rock pushes Sharpe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Rock lands a nice uppercut.#ROC# Sharpe is rocked! I was talking to Rock's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Nice body punch from Rock. Sharpe is still on wobbly legs! Sharpe seems to have recovered his senses. A short body shot lands from Rock as the two fighters clinch.

Rock circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sharpe to the canvas! Sharpe doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rock keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Sharpe is looking to regain half guard here but Tinto keeps moving and retains side control. Tinto controlling the position from side mount. Sharpe is trying to get back to half guard. Tinto is staying tight to Sharpe's torso, preventing him from escaping. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sharpe is trying to get back to half guard.#SUB# Tinto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sharpe felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Nairo Velasquez Quintana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velasquez Quintana connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sharpe keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Velasquez Quintana throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sharpe on the side of the head. Velasquez Quintana tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sharpe is able to avoid easily. Sharpe connects with a jab.#CUT# It looks like Nairo Velasquez Quintana has been cut. Nice jab there from Velasquez Quintana. Sharpe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#CL2# Velasquez Quintana clinches. Sharpe gets through Velasquez Quintana's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sharpe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Lee lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kingsten backwards. Lee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
