Mayweather wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy. Mayweather misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Miller avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mayweather. Miller is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Mayweather looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Miller is avoiding damage well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayweather with the ground and pound but Miller regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Miller slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T1# Miller striking from his own guard. Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Miller goes for a double leg but Mayweather avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mayweather continues to drive forward. Mayweather slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat. Miller blocks the body kick.

#R1##TD# Miller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Miller winds up and cracks Parish with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Parish for as long as he can get away with. Miller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parish can do anything to dispel that myth. Miller controlling the action here. Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parish's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

#R1# Miller shoots and misses and Vrlinic counters with a lovely straight right hand! Vrlinic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vrlinic lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Vrlinic feints a jab promting Miller to slip. Vrlinic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Miller slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Vrlinic feints a jab promting Miller to slip. Vrlinic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Miller slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.#ROC2# Miller is rocked! Vrlinic goes for a small jab and connects. Now Vrlinic goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Miller stumbles back but Vrlinic runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Miller to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Miller will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Denis Vrlinic! A determined Denis Vrlinic didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

Miller throws a big elbow that misses. Ace has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Miller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Miller trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there. #T1# Ace wants to stand but Miller is controlling the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Axenchik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Axenchik controls from within his opponent's guard. Miller throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
