Marcelo tries to clinch but Ward moves out of range.
Max Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcelo throws a solid leg kick but Ward takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marcelo.#TD#
Ward looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Marcelo pushes Ward off but Ward dives into side control.
Marcelo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
You can see the frustration on Marcelo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ward is putting a hurting on Marcelo here, landing some big shots from side control.
Check out the look on Ward's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Marcelo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ward presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
