Kulina shoots in looking for a takedown but Maloney manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kulina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Maloney stuffs the takedown.
A left and a right from Maloney both land. Nice combination.
Nice sprawl there from Maloney as Kulina shoots in.
Maloney lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Kulina. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Maloney shoots for a takedown but Kulina saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Maloney throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kulina's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Maloney dives in looking to finish as Kulina flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Maloney's strikes! Maloney is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kulina's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kulina was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
