Mathis throws a big elbow that misses. #SUB2# Hunter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mathis passes into side control.
Hunter is trying to improve his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1# Hunter looking for a sweep but Mathis has passed into full mount! Oh no! Horrible takedown attempt by Hunter or perhaps it was just good defense by Mathis, which made it look bad. That was a close second round but I would say that Raymundo Mathis will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Babatunde softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Mathis tries to pull guard but Babatunde holds him up against the cage and eventually Mathis drops back down to his feet.

White takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Nice sprawl there from Mathis as White shoots in.#TD2# Mathis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard.#ES# Mathis has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. White has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Mathis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from White.
