#R1# Wildslap walks into a jab. Wildslap changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shum tries to avoid it but Wildslap manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shum to the ground. Shum escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Shum lands a slapping body shot.
Shum throws a hook to the side of Wildslap's head but Wildslap sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice sprawl there from Shum as Wildslap shoots in. Shum darts in and out, connecting with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wildslap fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rancho Wildslap. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Wildslap has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Shum waves Hollister back to his feet!#CUT# It looks like Zane Hollister has been cut. Shum looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Shum backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hollister's temple! It sends Hollister violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Shum celebrates and the doctors try to help Hollister!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Quon Shum! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Quon Shum made sure he mentioned Voodoo Nutrition, along with how happy he was to win his fight.

Tow feinted with a counter takedown. Sloppy strikes from Shum. Those never looked like landing. Tow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shum avoids it really well and circles away. Tow closes the distance and clinches up with Shum, looking for a takedown. Tow pushes Shum against the cage but Shum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Big Tow. That's going to take a lot out of him.#KD2# Shum lands a left and a right that send Tow crashing to the mat, dazed. Shum thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT2# It looks like Big Tow has been cut. A thudding body kick lands there by Shum!

Aims bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.#CUT2# It looks like Quon Shum has been cut. Aims looks to land a right hand but Shum moved out of range. Shum misses with a two punch combination.
Shum looks to land a left hand but Aims moved out of range nicely. Aims misses with a hook. Aims cracks Shum with an open hand slap. Gary Aims seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aims takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Aims will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Aims falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Shum stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Regal stays in close to Shum's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Regal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. #SUB# Regal drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Regal jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shum has Regal pulled in close to control his posture. Regal postures up and lands a big shot to Shum's brow. Regal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Darren Regal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Regal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Regal wants to control from the top but Shum keeps moving. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Regal won't allow Shum to sweep him here. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#KD2# Shum sends Regal crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shum is motioning to the referee to let Regal up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Regal shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shum defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darren Regal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Regal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shum rattles Regal with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Regal tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Shum dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Regal stiff and motionless on the mat!

#R1# Shum displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bones throws out the jab. Shum looks like he wants to counter punch here. Shum misses with a hook. Bones ducked under it nicely. Bones misses with a body kick. Shum throws a hook to the side of Bones's head but Bones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bones misses with a few strikes there.
Shum looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bones scores with a jab. Shum acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Shum throws a big shot that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Shum does no damage. Bones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!#CUT# It looks like Quon Shum has been cut. Shum doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Melvin Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#T1# Some wild striking there from Bones.
Bones misses with a combination
and Bones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A chopping leg kick lands by Bones. Shum looks to land a combination but Bones avoids it well. Shum throws a right and a left that both miss. It looked like Bones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Shum. Bones misses with a two punch combination.

Shum has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bones. Bones thuds his shin into the meat of Shum's side. Bones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Bones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shum was well out of range. Poor timing from Bones. Bones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shum circles away quickly and effectively. Shum throws a counter combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shum uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bones. Shum looks to throw the jab but Bones is out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Bones misses the target.#T3# Shum slips under a jab from Bones. Some wild striking there from Shum.
Bones throws a lazy body kick #KD2# and Shum counters with a crisp one two that drops Bones! Shum thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bones to his feet! Bones is in big trouble! A swing and a miss from Shum. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Bones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shum. Bones misses with a looping right. Bones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
#T4# Bones misses with a looping left. Shum takes a kick to the side of the head. Bones dodges the punch combination from Shum.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#KD2# Shum drops Bones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bones looks back up at him and smiles so Shum waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC2# Bones is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Melvin Bones has been cut. Shum throws an overhand right that drops Bones like a sack of potatoes! Shum dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Slaughter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slaughter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Shum. Shum blocking some punches.
