That was a close round but I would say that Wyatt Meyer will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. He's got his arms around Meyer's waist but Meyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Archer off to one side. Meyer appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Fakuda seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. #R1# Case wants to clinch. Case changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meyer tries to avoid it but Case manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meyer to the ground. Meyer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD# Meyer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Case's half guard. Case really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Meyer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Case is trying to stand.
Case has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Meyer is working away from the top position though. Meyer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Meyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Case trying to control but Meyer postures up.
