#R1# Briivek tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bagdad defends well and Briivek ends up having to push Bagdad into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bagdad feints the counter takedown.#TD2# Bagdad feints and as Briivek raises his hands in defense, Bagdad changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Briivek being controlled here, momentarily. Bagdad lands a couple of digs. Briivek keeping full guard, as Bagdad tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bagdad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bagdad's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bagdad forces his way into half guard.#T1# Bagdad stalling. More stalling from Bagdad. Briivek trying to control here.
Bagdad throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bagdad trying to pass the guard but Briivek defending well. Bagdad is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Briivek makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Briivek. Bagdad passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T3##SUB2# Bagdad looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. It looks like Bagdad might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Briivek takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Bagdad landing strikes. Briivek is trying to defend but Bagdad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Let's see what he's got on the ground. #T2# Bagdad takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Briivek is not content to let Bagdad control the position. Briivek moves into full guard.

Bagdad is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Bagdad missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bagdad tries to pass to full mount but Briivek defends it. #T4# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bagdad is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bagdad is thwarting Briivek's attempts to control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. He catches Briivek napping and manages to drive through into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mehdi Bagdad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! #R3# Briivek has his takedown stuffed and Bagdad counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bagdad is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.#TD2# Briivek gets caught flat footed, as Bagdad shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bagdad engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Let's hope that Bagdad has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bagdad wants to pass the guard but Briivek is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Briivek not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

#REVR##T1##SUB# Briivek drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bagdad looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bagdad looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bagdad! #REVB# Briivek is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bagdad connects with a decent elbow. Bagdad tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. #SUB2# Bagdad tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Briivek tries to bench press Bagdad off him but Bagdad keeps the position. Mehdi Bagdad has got the better of the ground game so far. Bagdad lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Briivek down.
#T2# Bagdad advances nicely into full mount. Bagdad takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bagdad putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bagdad controlling from the full mount. Bagdad trying to control but he's not successful this time. Briivek is looking to get to half guard. Briivek wants to hold on but Bagdad pushes him away.#T3# Bagdad looking to control and managing it successfully. Briivek wants to control but Bagdad is having none of it. Briivek is trying desperately to improve position. Bagdad controlling from the full mount. Mehdi Bagdad is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Briivek is desperately trying to improve his position but Bagdad has a good base and remains in mount.#T4# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bagdad putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bagdad looking to control and managing it successfully. Bagdad working Briivek over with strikes here. Bagdad content just to control the position here. Briivek keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Mehdi Bagdad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bagdad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
