#R1##TD2# Luvz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slater wants to get back to his feet but Luvz drags him back down.#SUB2# Luvz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Luvz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Slater is being controlled here. Slater is looking for a sweep.#SUB2# Luvz goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Slater rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Luvz's guard! Nice work there by Slater! Luvz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Slater looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luvz keeping moving, preventing Slater from controlling successfully. Slater with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.#T1# Slater is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Luvz wants to sweep here but Slater controlling him for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Luvz can do anything to dispel that myth. Slater slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Slater trying to control the position from guard on top but Luvz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slater slips out almost immediately though and dives into Luvz's guard.#REVR##T2# Slater wants to control from the top but Luvz keeps moving. Slater throws a big right hand that misses. #SUB2# Luvz has his foot on Slater's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slater works his way back into a safe position though. Slater sitting in guard, not really doing much. Luvz pulls Slater in close to his closed guard and prevents Slater from doing any damage or advancing position. Slater not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. #T3# Slater throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Luvz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Luvz keeping moving, preventing Slater from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Luvz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Slater is controlling him. Slater controls the pace of the fight for a moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Slater has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.#CL# Slater darts in and clinches Luvz up against the cage.#BC# Slater breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Luvz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Luvz fails with a takedown attempt. Luvz looks winded!#TD# Slater scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slater just content to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Slater dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# Luvz blocks the body kick.
As Slater backs off Luvz throws a huge counter combo but Slater manages to avoid it all. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Luvz is defended easily by Slater. Slater thinks about countering with a head kick.#CL# Luvz gets tackled into the cage by Slater. Slater maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Luvz.
The referee is keeping an eye on Slater - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
#T1# Slater looking to slow down the pace here. Slater dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Slater is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Slater will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Luvz up against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Boris Slater. Luvz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slater as he avoids it easily. It looked like Slater was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Boris Slater has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Luvz.#CL# Slater closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. #BC# Slater escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Joey Luvz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Slater as Luvz shoots in.#T2##CL# Slater rushes Luvz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Luvz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Slater pulls his leg out and moves away.
#CL# Slater gets a clinch. Slater gets underhooks to prevent Luvz's takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Slater. Slater slowing the pace effectively. Luvz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Slater gets the underhooks and prevents it.
#BC# Slater manages to break the clinch.
#T3# Luvz shoots in and drives through. Slater sprawls well. Luvz is breathing heavily. Luvz tries to land a leg kick but Slater saw it coming and moves away.
#CL# Slater takes the fight into the clinch. Slater taking a breather. #BC# Slater's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL# Slater darts in and clinches Luvz up against the cage.#BC# Slater escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Slater keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Slater changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#CL# Slater fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Luvz, pushing him back against the cage.#T4# Luvz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slater to keep the fight standing. Slater prevents the takedown attempt.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Slater is stalling here.

Boris Slater dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! #R3##TD# Slater is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Luvz's half guard. Luvz wants to get back to full guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Slater seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Luvz for as long as he can get away with. Slater wants to take a breather but Luvz is having none of it. Slater not doing much here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Slater continues to stall.#T1# Slater's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. #T3# Slater controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Luvz looking for a sweep. Not yet Luvz, not yet. Slater trying to control but Luvz is working from the bottom. Slater slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slater can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that's the end of the fight! Boris Slater showed his dominance in that final round. Well Slater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
