Dime slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ferdinand's guard.#REVR# Dime knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferdinand on the ground. Dime wants to stand and escape but instead Ferdinand has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Dime manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ferdinand manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR# Dime tries to stand but Ferdinand is controlling from the bottom. #SUB2# Ferdinand is looking for a triangle but Dime pushes his legs off easily.

Dime keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Jones gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Ferdinand avoids a wild elbow strike from Jones. Our sources have told us that Ferdinand has been working on his elbows in the gym. Jones lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Ferdinand has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Ferdinand shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franz Ferdinand. That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Ferdinand tries for a takedown but Levy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.#TD# Levy gets a double leg takedown into Ferdinand's guard. Levy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ferdinand controls Levy momentarily but Levy frees himself. Levy content to stall in guard here. Levy stands up over Ferdinand, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Levy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #T1# Levy showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #R1# Ferdinand does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Ferdinand buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
