#R1##TD2# Jack fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boyle to the ground. Jack is now in Boyle's guard.#ES# Boyle kicks Jack off and gets to his feet. #TD2# Jack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boyle to the mat! Boyle manages to get full guard. Boyle is wriggling around but Jack manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#REVR# This has been an exciting period of action! Boyle wants to get back to his feet. Jack not doing much here.
Boyle is trying to stand back up but Jack is controlling him
Jack wants to stand but Boyle has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Jack should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jack passes into side control, despite Boyle's attempt to control the position.
Boyle can't do much from the bottom here. #T1# Jack remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jack tries to stand but Boyle is controlling his head. You can see the frustration on Boyle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boyle is looking for a sweep. Boyle did well to prevent Jack getting side control. Jack thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Boyle wants to get back to full guard but Jack has mounted him! Boyle tries to lock up and control but Jack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boyle wants to try and get back to his feet. Boyle is breathing heavily. Jack controlling from the full mount. Jack landing punches. Jack controlling from mount. Jack wants to control the pace but Boyle is squirming around nicely. #T4# Jack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Let's hope that Jack has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jack looking to control but Boyle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jack prevents Boyle from getting the reversal. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB2# Jack working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. #TD# Boyle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boyle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#T1# Boyle pulls Jack in to control the position. Jack landing some decent shots from guard. Jack pivots and extends the arm, Boyle falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Jack! Well done that man!
