Moura stuffs the takedown attempt from Esposito. Esposito gets slowly back to his feet. #TD# Moura throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Esposito tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Moura is in Esposito's guard. Esposito looking for a sweep. Not yet Esposito, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esposito throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Moura looking to pass the guard. Esposito is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. #R1# Moura dives in and grabs Akcay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Akcay pushes down on Moura's head and hops out. Moura looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Moura dodges the punch combination from Akcay.
Moura is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.#CL# Akcay moves into the clinch. Akcay throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

#R1##TD2# Moura shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Moura showed some decent athleticism there. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Jefferson trying to control here.

Oh, that's bad for Moura!#ES# Moura explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Jefferson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moura tries to avoid it but Jefferson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moura to the ground. Moura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Moura tries to counter with a takedown but Jefferson is quick to defend against it. Moura throws a sloppy head kick and Jefferson moves out of range easily. Jefferson is a painfully thin specimen of a man.
