#R1# Patriot tries to clinch but Mikio is having none of it. Patriot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Mikio lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mikio lands a jab to the nose. Mikio throws a leg kick but Patriot moved away. A nice leg kick lands there from Mikio. Mikio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Patriot's head backwards. Good shot there by Mikio.#ROC# Patriot is rocked! Mikio lands with an overhand left. Patriot is still on wobbly legs! Can Mikio finish him? Patriot looks up at the clock. Bad move! Mikio lands a right hand from hell, dropping Patriot. Mikio pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Asato Mikio! An out of breath Asato Mikio thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

#R1# Beavers throws a lazy uppercut
and Patriot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CL2# Beavers darts in and clinches Patriot up against the cage. Patriot blocks the elbow strike.
Patriot avoids a wild elbow strike from Beavers. Patriot stalling.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Beavers. Beavers is pressed up against the cage. Patriot has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Beavers down to the mat. Beavers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Patriot has been working on his balance at Raven's strike MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Beavers. Beavers works over Patriot's head and body with a nice combination. Beavers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beavers throws a sloppy head kick and Patriot moves out of range easily. Beavers falls off balance throwing a combination
#TD# and Patriot decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beavers's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. It looks like Beavers might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... #R1# Patriot stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Patriot wants it to stay on the feet. Patriot drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Xavier defends it well. Patriot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Xavier swivels and escapes.#TD# Xavier drives through with a takedown into Patriot's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.#SUB2# Patriot looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Xavier postures up.
Xavier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patriot swivels though and keeps the full guard. #SUB2# Patriot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Xavier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. #SUB# Xavier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Xavier is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Patriot trying to control the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Patriot can do anything to dispel that myth.#SUB# Xavier is working for a submission of some sort.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Patriot controls Zinn momentarily but Zinn frees himself. #SUB2# Zinn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zinn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Patriot will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB2# Zinn has gone for a leg lock! Patriot slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zinn's guard.#REVR# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB2# Zinn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

#R1# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zinn. Patriot looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Zinn fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Zinn fails to land the takedown. Patriot throws a counter combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noam Zinn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zinn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patriot's waist but Patriot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zinn off to one side. #TD# Patriot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zinn to score an easy takedown into full guard. He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Zinn seems to have locked his on tight now - Patriot screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Zinn, as he picks up the win!

Patriot tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rashid defends well and Patriot ends up having to push Rashid into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Patriot looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Patriot has his takedown stuffed#KD# and Rashid counters with a crisp one two that drops Patriot! Rashid thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Patriot to his feet! Patriot is in big trouble!#ROC# Patriot is rocked! Patriot takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rashid looks to land a combination but Patriot avoids it well. #CL# Rashid moves into the clinch. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Patriot keeping moving, preventing Rashid from controlling successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rashid wants to control but Patriot is keeping busy and won't allow it.
