#R1# Gaeez misses with a low kick. McDonnell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from McDonnell. McDonnell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gaeez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. McDonnell scores with a kick to the midsection. McDonnell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gaeez looks to score with a jab to the body but McDonnell is just out of range. Gaeez on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
McDonnell bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Gaeez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
#CUT# It looks like Masereka Gaeez has been cut. Gaeez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McDonnell connects with a leg kick. Gaeez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McDonnell throws a lazy head kick #TD2# and Gaeez counters with a single leg into guard. McDonnell didn't expect that. #ES# McDonnell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Gaeez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.#T1# Gaeez misses with the head strike.

Gaeez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Gaeez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McDonnell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gaeez's hands. McDonnell plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Gaeez misses with a two punch combination.
McDonnell fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gaeez just manages to avoid it. Rory McDonnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDonnell scores with a head kick. Gaeez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.#ROC# Gaeez is rocked! Gaeez steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McDonnell. That one must have hurt. Gaeez looks winded! A head kick by McDonnell - that's a beauty! Gaeez is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even McDonnell can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

#R1# Puimakone throws a jab but it's blocked by Gaeez. Gaeez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Gaeez fails with a takedown attempt.#CL# Puimakone clinches with his opponent.
Puimakone makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Puimakone lands a shoulder strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gaeez throws a punch but it's blocked by Puimakone. Puimakone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Puimakone lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Gaeez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Puimakone gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.#T1# Puimakone lands a nice shot to the body. Puimakone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. A nice right hand lands inside from Puimakone. Puimakone lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gaeez backwards. #R1# Gaeez throws a body punch but Talruum Hero moves out of range. Gaeez throws a lazy uppercut
#TD# and Talruum Hero counters with a takedown into side control. Talruum Hero working away. Gaeez tries to bench press Talruum Hero off him but Talruum Hero keeps the position. Talruum Hero taking a breather here. You can see the frustration on Gaeez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gaeez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. #T1##SUB2# Gaeez looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Talruum Hero content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Gaeez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.#SUB2# Gaeez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Talruum Hero won't allow Gaeez to sweep him here. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gaeez trying to control the position.

No, Talruum Hero has managed to get both his arms back between Gaeez's legs - danger averted. Talruum Hero controlling from the top position. Talruum Hero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gaeez on the ground. Gaeez is trying to keep Talruum Hero in close.
