Rutten connects with a high kick. #TD# Boar shoots in for a takedown and gets it.#ES2# Rutten has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Boar is on him like a limpet, forcing Rutten back against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head punch on the inside from Boar fails to land. Boar misses with the head strike.

#TD2# Rutten has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Boar regains guard immediately. #T1# Rutten controls from within his opponent's guard. Boar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Boar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Rutten looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Rutten keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Rutten manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rutten is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Weathers is controlling him.
