It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lazewsk uses from the top position. Lazewsk wanted to stand there but Mfer had control of the position. Mfer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mfer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mfer tries to get out of the position. Mfer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mfer won't allow Lazewsk to get back to his feet. Mfer won't let Lazewsk get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Wojciech Lazewsk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones Mfer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mfer takes a little breather and maintains the position. Boyle is looking to break free of the clinch but Lazewsk has double underhooks. #TD2# Lazewsk ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lazewsk no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Boyle throwing strikes but missing. Lazewsk is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Boyle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. #ES2# Lazewsk manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.#BC2# Lazewsk breaks the clinch.
Boyle misses with an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boyle looks to land a right hand but Lazewsk moved out of range. Lazewsk lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boyle backs up against the cage.
Lazewsk moves out of range as Boyle strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Boyle moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Lazewsk! Boyle continues to tee off on Lazewsk, landing with a left and a right! Boyle connects with a right hand that leaves Lazewsk sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Boyle!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Liam Boyle! A very excited looking Liam Boyle rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

#R1##TD2# Lazewsk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Case gets back to half guard. Lazewsk trying to mount his opponent but Case defends it. Case keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Case regains full guard. Nicely done. Lazewsk wanted to stand there but Case had control of the position. Case will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Case seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lazewsk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Case swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lazewsk wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Case throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lazewsk escapes and throws Case's legs to the side, diving into side control! Case taking punishment in the form of punches.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
